Tigo Energy was founded in 2007 in Silicon Valley, California, originally using “module-level power electronics” (MLPE) technologies to increase the yield and improve the safety of solar power systems.

Tigo's best-known product platform is the TS4 Flex MLPE, which offers modular target functions: optimization, monitoring and rapid shutdown options at the individual PV module level. The company has also expanded its profile to include energy storage and inverters under the “Energy Intelligence (EI)” brand, offering integrated PV+ESS solutions for both residential and commercial applications.

Its global presence is also remarkable: Tigo products are installed on seven continents, and its cooperation partners include numerous inverter and module manufacturers, ensuring system compatibility and flexibility.
