Product description
The Deye SUN-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 series of three-phase, low voltage (48V) hybrid inverters are designed for larger residential and small commercial systems. The models currently available are:
One of the biggest advantages of the series is that it works with 48V batteries – a safer and more cost-effective solution while offering high performance. The maximum charging and discharging current can reach 350A, ensuring fast energy storage and use.
The inverters support 100% asymmetric phase output, meaning that full power can be directed to a single phase. This is especially beneficial for single-family homes and small businesses where consumption is not uniform.
The devices provide 200% PV oversizing and 110% AC overload, and in the event of a power outage, they operate as an uninterruptible power supply with a transfer time of <10 ms. This guarantees that critical loads receive continuous power supply.
Flexibility is enhanced by 6 programmable time zones for battery charging and discharging, as well as diesel generator integration and AC coupling for existing systems. The series can be paralleled up to 10 units, allowing for easy power scaling.
Safety features include built-in AC/DC overvoltage protection (Type II), overcurrent, short circuit and ground fault protection, and optional AFCI arc fault protection. The inverters are IP65 rated, with intelligent air cooling, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C.

How do I choose the right inverter?
How do I choose the right inverter?
When choosing an inverter, it is worth considering the power of the solar panels, their voltage range, the number of phases in the system (single- or three-phase), and whether you plan to expand with batteries in the future.
In the case of three-phase systems, a distinction must be made between symmetrical and asymmetrical inverters. The symmetrical type distributes the power equally across all three phases, which is an advantageous solution for simpler networks. The asymmetrical inverter, on the other hand, can regulate the power differently per phase, thus adapting more flexibly to the real consumption pattern of the house - for this reason it is usually the more practical and efficient choice for domestic systems.
When is it worth choosing a hybrid inverter?
When is it worth choosing a hybrid inverter?
It is worth choosing a hybrid inverter if you want to expand the system with battery energy storage in the future or if you want to provide the house with protection against power outages.
Hybrid models are more expensive, but offer a more flexible solution in the long term, as they can be easily integrated into the existing system later.
What happens in the event of a power outage?
What happens in the event of a power outage?
During a power outage, traditional grid-fed inverters automatically shut down to prevent power from being fed back into the utility grid for safety reasons.
Hybrid inverters, on the other hand, can operate in stand-alone, so-called backup mode, if a battery is also connected to the system. In this case, the inverter disconnects itself from the grid and uses the energy stored in the battery to continue supplying designated consumers in the house, such as lighting, a refrigerator or a router. As soon as the grid voltage returns, the inverter automatically returns to normal operation and begins recharging the battery.
What warranty does the inverter have?
What warranty does the inverter have?
The warranty is typically 5-10 years, depending on the manufacturer and model. Some manufacturers also offer extended warranties with registration. The exact duration is listed on each product page, so it's worth checking before purchasing.
What happens if the inverter fails?
What happens if the inverter fails?
As a first step, it is always recommended to diagnose the fault, because often the problem is not related to the inverter, but to the settings or the communication module.
If there is an actual failure, the distributor or manufacturer's service partner will assist with the repair or replacement process, within or beyond warranty.
