Product description
Product description
The SolaX S51 (TSYS-HS51) series is the manufacturer's latest high-voltage (HV) battery system, developed for residential and small commercial energy storage applications.
The system is modular, floor-mounted, and offers advanced safety solutions, including an aerosol fire suppression unit and optional cell optimization technology.
Available versions:
- SolaX S51 – 15.3 kWh
- SolaX S51 – 20.4 kWh
- SolaX S51 – 25.5 kWh
- SolaX S51 – 30.6 kWh
The SolaX S51 systems are built on 5.1 kWh modules, which are connected in a cable-free design, stacked on top of each other. The modules are connected in series to form a high-voltage unit, so the total capacity ranges from 15.3 kWh to 30.6 kWh.
The central unit of the system is the TBMS-S51-8 control module, which monitors the status of the cells in real time, automatically equalizes the charge, and transmits data to the inverter via CAN + RS485 communication.
The S51 series has an active safety system: the aerosol fire extinguishing module reacts quickly and precisely in the event of overheating or short circuit.
LFP cell technology, 90% depth of discharge (DoD) and a life span of over 6000 cycles guarantee long-term stable operation. The built-in battery heating technology enables operation down to -30°C, making the system reliable even in cold climates.
The TSYS-HS51 Optimizer version includes additional improvements:
– automatic cell balancing within 3 hours in case of large capacity differences,
– up to 10% increase in lifespan through efficient energy management,
– support for mixed use of old and new modules without energy loss.
With its compact, stackable housing design and IP66 protection, the S51 is suitable for both outdoor and indoor installation.
The system handles a maximum charging and discharging current of 70 A and is compatible with SolaX hybrid inverters (X3 Hybrid, X3 MEG, X3 Fit, X3 Pro).
- Available capacities: 15.3 / 20.4 / 25.5 / 30.6 kWh
- 5.1 kWh per module, expandable up to 12 modules
- Aerosol fire extinguishing unit for cell-level protection
- Optional Optimizer version: 10% lifetime increase, 3-hour equalization
- CAN + RS485 communication, compatible with SolaX inverters
- Battery heating function, operation from –30 °C to +53 °C
- IP66 protection, for outdoor-indoor installation
- Cable-free, stackable modules, quick installation
- High voltage architecture, voltage range 102–307 V
- LFP cells, 90% DOD, > 6000 cycles, 10 year warranty
- Certificates: IEC62619, IEC62040, VDE 2510, UN38.3
The SolaX S51 series is the manufacturer's current top-of-the-range high-voltage energy storage system. Aerosol fire protection, optional cell optimization technology and a heating system that works down to -30 °C make this type an exceptionally safe, durable and future-proof solution for professional energy storage.

How do I choose the right battery?
How do I choose the right battery?
The most important thing is that the battery fits your inverter and the performance of your system. It is worth considering how much capacity (kWh) you need and whether you want to expand the system later.
Always check the inverter's technical data sheet, as it will tell you which batteries it is compatible with. For example, Huawei inverters only work with Huawei batteries, while Deye inverters can be connected to multiple manufacturers, offering a more flexible solution.
How do inverter types differ?
How do inverter types differ?
The lifespan of modern lithium batteries is usually 10–15 years, depending on usage and temperature conditions.
Manufacturers typically give an expected lifespan of 6,000–8,000 charging cycles – this can mean up to a decade and a half, assuming one cycle per day.
What happens in the event of a power outage?
What happens in the event of a power outage?
If the inverter supports backup (stand-alone) operation, it will automatically switch to the battery during a power outage, so the most important consumers continue to operate.
It is important to know that if there is no backup function, the system will completely stop in the event of a power outage, even if the solar panels are producing. This is because most on-grid inverters cannot operate without mains voltage for safety reasons, so they cannot supply power or charge batteries.
What warranty does the battery have?
What warranty does the battery have?
Depending on the manufacturer, batteries come with a 5 or 10 year warranty, and for some models this is also tied to the number of cycles. We indicate the exact warranty period on each product page, so you can always see how long the manufacturer's warranty lasts before you buy.
What happens if the battery fails?
What happens if the battery fails?
If the battery is not working properly, it is a good idea to first have the problem diagnosed by a professional to rule out incorrect setup or installation. It is possible that the problem is not with the battery itself, but with a non-activated function or communication setting.
If it is proven that there is indeed a problem with the product, you should contact the manufacturer's or distributor's customer service, who will assist you in the troubleshooting process and the warranty administration process.
