Product description
Product description
The SolaX TBMS-R15 is the central control unit for HR140 battery modules, providing cell-level monitoring, control of charging and discharging processes, and communication with inverters.
A TBMS-R15 can be connected to 7-14 HR140 modules, providing a total capacity of 100-200 kWh. The controller has two battery ports, allowing it to manage two groups of modules simultaneously. This design provides greater flexibility and expandability in industrial systems.
The TBMS-R15 is special in that it not only provides protection for the system, but also acts as a central communication unit: it connects to the inverters and the SolaX Cloud platform via a CAN interface. This allows the system to be monitored and controlled remotely in real time.
Main features in brief:
- BMS controller for SolaX HR140 battery modules
- 7–14 modules can be connected to one controller (100–200 kWh)
- Two battery ports for managing groups of modules
- Cell-level monitoring and fault detection
- CAN communication to inverters and SolaX Cloud
- Compatible with SolaX C&I ESS systems
- Rack mountable, IP20 protection
- Certificates: IEC62619, UN38.3
The special feature of the SolaX TBMS-R15 is that it is an essential central element for the operation of the HR140 modules, ensuring security, expandability and complete system integration at the same time.

How do I choose the right battery?
How do I choose the right battery?
The most important thing is that the battery fits your inverter and the performance of your system. It is worth considering how much capacity (kWh) you need and whether you want to expand the system later.
Always check the inverter's technical data sheet, as it will tell you which batteries it is compatible with. For example, Huawei inverters only work with Huawei batteries, while Deye inverters can be connected to multiple manufacturers, offering a more flexible solution.
How do inverter types differ?
How do inverter types differ?
The lifespan of modern lithium batteries is usually 10–15 years, depending on usage and temperature conditions.
Manufacturers typically give an expected lifespan of 6,000–8,000 charging cycles – this can mean up to a decade and a half, assuming one cycle per day.
What happens in the event of a power outage?
What happens in the event of a power outage?
If the inverter supports backup (stand-alone) operation, it will automatically switch to the battery during a power outage, so the most important consumers continue to operate.
It is important to know that if there is no backup function, the system will completely stop in the event of a power outage, even if the solar panels are producing. This is because most on-grid inverters cannot operate without mains voltage for safety reasons, so they cannot supply power or charge batteries.
What warranty does the battery have?
What warranty does the battery have?
Depending on the manufacturer, batteries come with a 5 or 10 year warranty, and for some models this is also tied to the number of cycles. We indicate the exact warranty period on each product page, so you can always see how long the manufacturer's warranty lasts before you buy.
What happens if the battery fails?
What happens if the battery fails?
If the battery is not working properly, it is a good idea to first have the problem diagnosed by a professional to rule out incorrect setup or installation. It is possible that the problem is not with the battery itself, but with a non-activated function or communication setting.
If it is proven that there is indeed a problem with the product, you should contact the manufacturer's or distributor's customer service, who will assist you in the troubleshooting process and the warranty administration process.
