Product description
The SolaX X3-HYBRID G4 series of three-phase, asymmetric hybrid inverters are designed specifically for residential and small commercial systems where energy storage, high efficiency and fast power outage protection are important. The models in the series are:
- X3-HYBRID-5.0-D – 5 kW, 2 MPPT
- X3-HYBRID-6.0-D – 6 kW, 2 MPPT
- X3-HYBRID-8.0-D – 8 kW, 2 MPPT
- X3-HYBRID-10.0-D – 10 kW, 2 MPPT
- X3-HYBRID-12.0-D – 12 kW, 2 MPPT
- X3-HYBRID-15.0-D – 15 kW, 2 MPPT
The inverters support up to 200% PV oversizing and 110% AC output power, and can provide 200% EPS overload for short periods. The three-phase asymmetric output allows for up to 5 kW of load per phase, enabling flexible power distribution.
UPS-level protection ensures transfer in <10 ms, ensuring uninterrupted power supply even in the event of a power outage. The inverters are compatible with lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries (120–800 V) and operate with a maximum charge/discharge current of 30 A.
Intelligent features include smart load management (e.g. heat pump, EV charger control), VPP compatibility (for virtual power plants), and global MPP scan, which optimizes performance even in shaded environments.
Safety is ensured by Type II AC/DC surge protection, optional AFCI arc fault protection, and IP65 protection, which also allows outdoor installation.
- Power range 5–15 kW, 3 phases
- 2 MPP trackers, wide voltage range
- Asymmetrical operation, max. 5 kW per phase
- 200% PV oversizing, 110% AC output
- <10 ms switching, UPS-level power failure protection
- Battery compatibility: lithium-ion and lead-acid

How do I choose the right inverter?
How do I choose the right inverter?
When choosing an inverter, it is worth considering the power of the solar panels, their voltage range, the number of phases in the system (single- or three-phase), and whether you plan to expand with batteries in the future.
In the case of three-phase systems, a distinction must be made between symmetrical and asymmetrical inverters. The symmetrical type distributes the power equally across all three phases, which is an advantageous solution for simpler networks. The asymmetrical inverter, on the other hand, can regulate the power differently per phase, thus adapting more flexibly to the real consumption pattern of the house - for this reason it is usually the more practical and efficient choice for domestic systems.
When is it worth choosing a hybrid inverter?
When is it worth choosing a hybrid inverter?
It is worth choosing a hybrid inverter if you want to expand the system with battery energy storage in the future or if you want to provide the house with protection against power outages.
Hybrid models are more expensive, but offer a more flexible solution in the long term, as they can be easily integrated into the existing system later.
What happens in the event of a power outage?
What happens in the event of a power outage?
During a power outage, traditional grid-fed inverters automatically shut down to prevent power from being fed back into the utility grid for safety reasons.
Hybrid inverters, on the other hand, can operate in stand-alone, so-called backup mode, if a battery is also connected to the system. In this case, the inverter disconnects itself from the grid and uses the energy stored in the battery to continue supplying designated consumers in the house, such as lighting, a refrigerator or a router. As soon as the grid voltage returns, the inverter automatically returns to normal operation and begins recharging the battery.
What warranty does the inverter have?
What warranty does the inverter have?
The warranty is typically 5-10 years, depending on the manufacturer and model. Some manufacturers also offer extended warranties with registration. The exact duration is listed on each product page, so it's worth checking before purchasing.
What happens if the inverter fails?
What happens if the inverter fails?
As a first step, it is always recommended to diagnose the fault, because often the problem is not related to the inverter, but to the settings or the communication module.
If there is an actual failure, the distributor or manufacturer's service partner will assist with the repair or replacement process, within or beyond warranty.
