Product description
Product description
The LONGi LR8-48HGD-445M is the manufacturer's latest generation bifacial solar panel, designed with N-type HPDC cells and a double glass structure for long-term reliability and maximum performance.
Bifacial technology allows the back of the solar cell to generate energy, providing an extra 10-25% yield in ideal conditions. HPDC cells (High Performance Double Coating) use an advanced surface coating that improves light absorption and reduces energy loss - thanks to this, the panel achieves an efficiency of 22.3% and generates less heat during operation.
The dual glass construction increases mechanical strength, prevents moisture ingress and improves fire resistance. The silver aluminum frame is elegant and corrosion resistant, making the module an ideal choice for single-family homes, small businesses and commercial rooftop installations alike.
As a Tier 1 manufacturer, LONGi applies strict quality control and offers a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty, providing long-term security for your investment.

How do solar panel types differ?
How do solar panel types differ?
Polycrystalline panels, often used in older systems, have now been pushed into the background due to their lower efficiency and poorer performance in lower light conditions.
Our webshop offers only modern monocrystalline panels, which provide higher energy yield on less surface area and have a longer lifespan.
Monocrystalline panels can be monofacial (only the front side is active) or bifacial, which also utilizes light reflected from the back side — thus being able to produce up to 10–20% more energy under optimal conditions.
What solar panel should I choose for the inverter?
What solar panel should I choose for the inverter?
The type of solar panels should be selected based on the inverter's MPPT voltage range and current limits. It is important that the operating point voltage of the panels falls within the specified range and that the series-connected arrays do not exceed the inverter's maximum input voltage.
What happens if one of the panels is in shadow?
What happens if one of the panels is in shadow?
If a panel is partially shaded, it will also reduce the power of the other panels in the same string, since the current strength within the string is the same for all modules.
This problem can be avoided with optimization modules (optics). The optimizer monitors and controls the operating point (MPPT) for each panel, so that the shaded panel does not reduce the performance of the others.
Optimizers work like DC/DC converters: if a panel produces less, the device increases voltage and decreases current (or vice versa) to keep the power of all panels within the string balanced.
How does tilt and orientation affect the performance of solar panels?
How does tilt and orientation affect the performance of solar panels?
The performance of solar panels is determined by the angle of incidence of the sun: the more perpendicular the light hits, the greater the production.
In Hungary, the optimal yield is given by a southern orientation and a tilt angle of 35–40°.
With an east-west layout, annual production is approximately 5–10% lower, but daily energy production is more even, which can be beneficial if consumption is high in both the morning and afternoon.
What warranty does the solar panels have?
What warranty does the solar panels have?
Manufacturers usually offer a 12–15 year product warranty and a 25 year performance warranty, which means that the panels will still provide at least 80–85% of their rated performance after two decades.
